The Best Bedside Cot For Newborns

A bedside crib is a bassinet-style crib that attaches to the mattress's side. This makes it simple to get your baby to sleep for a relaxed feeding. They're suitable from birth to around six months.

The Co-Sleeper is easy to switch between both modes by pulling a string. However it doesn't meet federal standards as an attached bed. Therefore, your baby should not be left alone.

McKenna was awed by the Co-Sleeper's accessibility, noting that it's easy to get infants into and out of the bassinet for middle-of-the-night feedings or other care requirements from your bed. He also praised the safety of the Co-Sleeper and said that it is in compliance with all crib and baby bassinet standards. The Clear-Vue bedside crib was the most accessible of all the cots we tested. Its swiveling bed and height adjustment allowed you to easily reach into and soothe your baby. Other models had lower sidewalls that required you to reach over and over or crouch down to reach your child however not the Clear-Vue.

The Clear-Vue was the only one in our top five that didn't connect to the bed of the parent. However, it was a close second and far superior to a few of the other models we tested, which were designed to be connected to parent beds. It's sturdy and solid with plenty of storage.

2. HALO Bassinest

The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is a unique bedside cot that can rotate 360 degrees to bring baby close and makes it simpler for parents to get into and out of bed. It also has a lower wall that allows moms to care for their babies without having to get out of the bed. This is an excellent feature for nursing mothers who need assistance with feeding their newborns in the first months and weeks following delivery.

The Bassinest is lightweight and can be cleaned down with water and the mattress pad is washable as well. It has a side pouch for diapers and nipple lotion which you will need in those sleepless first days of motherhood.

There are a variety of models of Bassinest. One is the standard Essentia that comes with no extra features. Another is the LUXE Plus series, which has white noise and vibrating to help babies fall asleep and stay asleep. Both models include mattresses, a fitted sheet, and a large storage caddy that's larger than the storage pouches on other Bassinest alternatives.

The LUXE PLUS series also has the option of lowering the wall lock that is sturdy and stable, a base that can be adjusted to fit most beds between 22" to 34", a floor lamp which helps you see your newborn throughout the day and a storage caddy that can store any additional bedding or items. It isn't suitable for travel due to the weight and size, however the swivel feature is great to keep your baby close when you're at home.

3. Joie Roomie Glide

This co-sleeper by English brand Joie was created to create the bond between parents and children a reality. It's more than just a crib. One of the best things that is unique to the Roomie Glide is its adjustable height.
